Dr. Mamedov,  our Medical Director for Saginaw and Okemos is now Board Certified in Sleep Medicine.  He is still accepting new patients!

This month we say a heartfelt formal good-bye to Dr. Alice Doe (formally Stroe) as she continues her career with her family in Kalamazoo.  She has been a wonderful addition to our staff over the last three years,  and we will miss her greatly.   We wish you the best, Dr Doe!

Today at Sleep Diagnostics of Michigan in Okemos, I saw a 66 year old gentleman who returned for an office visit one month after beginning treatment for his sleep apnea. His treatment is continuous positive airway pressure, CPAP. The patient is happier than he has been in years and states that, “We have given him NEW LIFE!” He wife states, “He is more motivated than he has been in years.”

Prior to therapy, he would wake up every hour and a half and would often be awake for 45 minutes before falling back to sleep. He used to be ready to go back to bed after being up for only an hour in the morning, now he’s awake and alert throughout the day!

He suggests to other men who snore and are tired to stop being skeptical and arrange to be evaluated and treated.
